Good deal for cycling mag

I was looking for a digital cycling magazine and found a good introductory offer for Cycling Plus on Pocketmags. The 50% off made it a no-brainer. I really felt I got my money's worth for the year's subscription. It downloaded easily to my tablet too.

Love my new craft magazines!

Oh my goodness, I just subscribed to a bundle of craft magazines and I'm so happy! The selection was huge, I got crochet and knitting patterns. Everything was so easy to find and download. I've already started a new project. I'm telling all my crafting friends about this. I'll definitely be back for more! So much fun.

Decent value, but app could improve

I bought a digital subscription to a photography magazine. The price was competitive, especially with the introductory offer. Accessing the issues was straightforward on my computer. However, the Android app felt a bit clunky sometimes, taking a while to load pages. It's not a deal-breaker, but there's room for improvement there. Overall, it's a solid service for the price, and I'll probably renew.

Consistent service as always

I've been using Pocketmags for years for my digital subscriptions. This time I renewed my National Geographic subscription, and the process was as smooth as ever. No glitches, magazines appeared in my library right away. It's why I keep coming back, never had an issue.

Got my tech magazine easily

Needed a new tech magazine subscription, so I checked out Pocketmags. Found 'T3' pretty quick. The site was easy enough to navigate on my phone. Bought it, and it showed up in my library fast. No fuss, just got what I needed. Reading it now, seems good.

Is Pocketmags legit? Never heard of them before, seems too good to be true with some of these prices.

J Jeff Johnson 3 weeks ago
totally legit, been using them for a couple years now. never had an issue.

Yeah, they're one of the main digital newsstands. Like, they're not some fly-by-night operation. They've been around for ages, it's just digital versions of real magazines.

Thinking of switching from Zinio, how does Pocketmags compare for selection and app experience?

N Nathan P. 1 month ago
I used to use Zinio and switched. Pocketmags has a pretty good selection, similar to Zinio honestly. The app is decent, not super flashy but it works. I prefer it now.

I've used both. Pocketmags has a lot, and the app is stable enough. I find their search a little better sometimes than Zinio, but both are pretty solid. Depends what specific mags you're after.

Hey, thinking of getting a sub for a mag, do they have discounts for new users? Or is it just the regular price?

J Jacob Moore 1 week ago
Yeah, usually they have some intro offers, often like 50% off for the first few months or a year. Check around, it's pretty common.

i think it depends on the magazine too, some of the smaller ones might not have huge intro deals, but i've definitely seen big ones for popular titles. Also check if you can sign up for their newsletter, sometimes they send codes.

what's the deal with Plus+? Is it worth it compared to just buying individual subs?

R Ryan Gomez 2 weeks ago
Depends how many mags you read. If it's only one or two, probably not. But if you're like me and read a bunch, it's a no-brainer. It saves a lot.

I think it's good if you try a lot of different magazines or just want to browse. For specific niche ones though, sometimes an individual sub is better, depends on if they're in the Plus+ library.

Can you actually read these offline? My commute has zero signal and that's when I want to read most.

S Sean H. 4 weeks ago
Yep, you just download them beforehand. I do it all the time for flights.

W William Robinson 4 weeks ago
Yeah, for sure. As long as you download them while you have internet, you can read them anywhere. It's one of the best features, imo.

If I get a magazine subscription, does it come with all the back issues too? Or just from when I subscribe?

B Betty Rodriguez 1 month ago
Usually just from when you subscribe. Sometimes there might be a deal that includes a few, but generally back issues are separate purchases.
3
E Emma R. 1 month ago
Nah, typically it's forward-looking. If you want specific back issues, you usually have to buy those as single issues. It's like a real magazine sub in that way, you get the new ones as they come out.
